The River Pig (or 'Elvepurka' in Norwegian) is a mythical creature that lives in the wild glacier river which runs through the spectacular Jostedalen Valley. The image of this old, angry, child eating female pig has been used by the parents in the valley to scare the children away from the dangers of the river for hundreds of years, right up to the present day.But now we have a chance to visit Elvepurka - in her territory! LITTLE PIGGIES TRIP
This tour is designed for the family.
We take an hours trip down the river on the gentle flow, with fantastic mountain scenery above us. The children are entertained with the legend of the Elvepurka (River Pig) and a water-fight, if not a swim!

ELVEPURKA TRIP
The original River Pig tour: 3 hours of scenery, white-water and River Pigs?
Starting with a gentle introduction to rafting, a swim in the glacial water, the trip takes off as we round the Elvepurka (River Pig). We hit Class 3-4 rapids through to the take out.

BOSS HOG DAY TRIP
This 6 hour trip begins with the Elvepurka trip in the morning. We take the rafts out of the river for lunch and drive further down-stream toward the fjord. The afternoon involves the biggest rapids of the day, perhaps the best rafting in Norway.

WILD BOARding DAY TRIP
After rapelling 20m, we get wet with a 5m jump down into the river. From here we negotiate rapids past the Nigardsbreen Glacier and down to the finish.
This trip is very dependant on river level and your ability. We start with a run down the rafting section to be sure we are all up to it
